About the Maguire Aerocet International Moth
The Aerocet is the latest International Moth design from Maguire Boats, based on the UK’s south coast in Hampshire. In particular, the Aerocet represents a significant departure from conventional Moth design, featuring an exceptionally low freeboard and ultra-thin foil struts with a very short chord. Consequently, the hull, rig, wings, and gantry form a more complete, integrated structure that reduces windage at speeds exceeding 30 knots. Moreover, Dylan Fletcher developed the Aerocet in partnership with Olympic Sailing Gold medallist colleagues, and the boat achieved outstanding results at its first major event — winning at Foiling Week on Lake Garda.
